The progress of the investment, despite the harsh winter conditions in Jakuszyce, is impressive. Intensive reinforcement, concrete and bricklaying works are underway in the main building of the Lower Silesian Sports Center.
On January 13, the Marshal of the Lower Silesia Province, Cezary Przybylski, and the Hetman of the Liberec Region, Martin Půta, visited the construction site.
The cooperation of border regions is important for the future operation of the facility from the point of view of applying for the most prestigious sports events. The joint offer, thanks to the modern infrastructure of Polana Jakuszycka and Harrachov, will certainly strengthen the chances of hosting the best players from all over the world.
Dolnośląskie Centrum Sportu will be the most modern biathlon and cross-country skiing center in Poland and Europe. When the coronavirus pandemic comes to an end, this facility will become crucial for us in matters related to the development of sport and tourism in the region. We want large events to be organized in this place, which is why we are also considering cooperation with other sports facilities, such as the ski jump complex in Harrachov - says Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
Martin Půta, Hetman of the Liberec Region, spoke in a similar vein - Polana Jakuszycka is a very impressive investment implemented on a grand scale. I believe that this is an opportunity for the entire region, opening the way to the organization of large events.
And how is the construction going?:
